We all know Captain Marvel says she’s more than capable of going “higher, further, faster” than the average bad guy and can definitely help in defeating Thanos, but just how strong is Captain Marvel really?  In this article, we’ll take an in-depth look at the Marvel universe character to give you the rundown on the power set of one of the strongest Avengers.  Who is Captain Marvel?  In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is an impulsive United States Air Force pilot exposed to the energy of the Tesseract (which housed the Space Stone) while unknowingly amid an inter-universe war. The explosion gave her powerful superhuman powers and abilities. She was abducted soon after by the Kree, who intended to use her as a weapon, and was subjected to a Kree blood transfusion that turned her into a Kree-Human hybrid.  She lost her memories during the process and started working as a soldier for Starforce. During one of the many fights in the Kree-Skrull War, the Marvel universe character was abducted by the Skrull, resulting in her returning to Earth and regaining her memories. Upon discovering that the Kree had been using and manipulating her all along, she quickly defected to the Skrulls, and fought on their side against the Kree invasion on Earth.  Like Captain America and other heroes, this powerful character now uses her powers to serve the many different universes across the galaxy and refers to herself as Captain Marvel.  Her Superpowers  Flight Carol Danvers always dreamed of becoming a pilot, and that dream was realized when she became one of the best pilots the USAF has had in history.  Good thing that when Carol Danvers absorbed the energy of the Tesseract, it granted her the ability to fly, which would’ve made her childhood self extremely happy. She can take down hordes of her opponents with relative ease and send them flying through the air with simple blows and kicks, thanks to her superhuman strength. In one instance, she destroyed an entire planet with the force of a singular punch.  She can also pack mean blows using her “photon fists,” which are her regular fists combined with photon energy she accesses from the stars.  When Dr. Hank Pym measured her super strength in the comics, the Avengers found out that she could punch with a force of 92 tons at just her base strength alone. Most other Marvel characters don’t have that much force to their punches.  Super Speed Captain Marvel possesses incredible speed, which she uses to evade her opponents' attacks (which we personally think she doesn’t need). Her super speed also allows her to travel at the speed of light. This comes in handy as she usually needs to be on call to save many other universes other than Earth. Her speed is faster than sound; other than that, she can travel across space without the need for any breathing equipment.  Intelligence Carol Danvers is fairly intelligent and can be strategic when it comes to the battlefield. After all, she did work for the USAF, CIA, and even NASA at some point. However, many fans believe her biggest weakness is her vulnerable mind, as she always seems to be subject to some form of mind control or memory manipulation.  There have been plenty of instances in the Marvel universe wherein she succumbed to brainwashing and psychological attacks from other characters. The plot of the Captain Marvel movie is actually centered around this exact thing.  Shop The Captain Marvel Collection Now Fighting Skills Just like Black Widow, Carol Danvers is skilled in combat, so her natural abilities are great to begin with. When she began working for the Kree empire, though, she was trained in the centuries-old Kree art of battle by none other than Yon-Rogg, the Kree Empire commander and leader of Starforce. He taught her how to fight efficiently and effectively, and she even became so adept at her fighting style that she didn’t need to rely on photon blasts to annihilate enemies most of the time.  Capacity To Produce Photon Energy Blasts Captain Marvel can produce powerful photon energy blasts from her hands, which can melt anything at will. The Binary, which manifests itself as a glowing aura of cosmic energy all around her, is her most powerful form. Unlike Black Panther, she doesn’t only absorb kinetic energy -- she absorbs all kinds of energy. She also doesn’t need to be wearing a suit to absorb kinetic energy (which Black Panther needs).  Most energy attacks don’t do her any damage. She can spend a whole day fighting an entire army and still perform at peak performance (without needing to catch her breath!). At one point in the comics, Captain Marvel took a hit from the Hulk Buster -- an armor Iron Man specifically created to defeat the green rage monster Hulk -- without suffering any consequences. This leads us to believe that she may be physically stronger than Hulk himself.  Very minimal damage can be done to her in the first place. Even if you manage to injure her, one of her abilities is to manipulate the energy in her body to concentrate specifically on her pain point and make it recover faster.  Heat Energy Manipulation Remember when we said that Captain Marvel could absorb energy? Well, it turns out that the energy she absorbs can be channeled into yet another form, which is heat. This power comes in handy when she needs to alter the temperature of a location to her liking and comfortability or when she needs to melt whatever is in her way.  We think this ability may have been useful when they had to thaw out Captain America in the first place.  Poisons & Diseases Immunity Due to the Kree blood transfusion, Captain Marvel’s immunity is greatly strengthened, and she no longer needs to be concerned about deadly diseases like cancer taking her life. The same is true for toxins and poison; her body will naturally process poison like it was no big deal. So if you’re thinking of poisoning Captain Marvel, you better think twice.  Precognitive “Seventh Sense” Captain Marvel has what she calls a precognitive “seventh sense,” which helps her sense danger and crisis even before it actually manifests. This cosmic awareness is similar to the “spidey sense” of Spider-Man. The origin of Captain Marvel’s powers differs depending on whether you watched the films or read the comics. In the Marvel comics, she was exposed to radiation from a Kree weapon explosion called the Psyche-Magnetron, which made her half-Kree and granted her powers and abilities similar to Mar-Vell, a Kree soldier.  In the Marvel movies, she is exposed to the energy of the Tesseract, one of the Infinity Stones, and abducted by the Kree. She’s then subjected to a Kree blood transfusion instead, which basically turns her into a Kree-Human, just like comic book canon.  Is Captain Marvel the strongest Marvel Superhero? It depends. Captain Marvel is incredibly strong, and she is, no doubt, the most powerful hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even Marvel Studios producers have said that she’s the strongest Avenger. Other Avengers like Thor, the God of Thunder, and even Gladiator, leader of the Imperial Guard, have the upper hand over her power set.  So, How Strong is Captain Marvel?  If Nick Fury thinks that Captain Marvel is the planet’s last hope for helping our favorite Avengers superheroes beat Thanos at the post-credits scene of Infinity War, that alone should be enough testament to the magnitude of Captain Marvel’s powers. Mandalorian was Star Wars Universe properties’ first live-action series introduced by Disney+ and the best series after Empire. The two seasons gave the fans some of the best Star Wars in years, and we can't help but rank the best episodes of Mandalorian.   Warning: Spoilers ahead!   15 Mandalorian Episodes Ranked (Season 1 & 2) 1. Chapter 16: The Rescue  Synopsis: The season finale of Mandalorian Season 2 gave a roller coaster emotion and unexpected finish to Din and Grogu. The Mandalorian and his allies board Moff Gideon's ship, and the battle with each Dark Trooper was very nerve-wrecking.  In the end, Din reveals his face to Grogu and bid an emotional farewell before Luke Skywalker and the Jedi train Grogu.   Reception: The action sequences are breath-taking, emotional, and well enjoyed by the viewers. It was labeled the perfect episode from start to finish and received a high 95% score from a site review.  Awards: The season finale of Mandalorian 2 took home the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) and Outstanding Stunt Performance from the Primetime Emmy Awards 2021 [1].  Also Read: When Does the Mandalorian Take Place 2. Chapter 8: Redemption Synopsis: Redemption is one of the best episodes in the Mandalorian, where IG-11 steals the show by rescuing Baby Yoda from the two scout troopers. Still, IG-11 sacrificed himself to help others get away.  In addition, the fight between Mando and Gideon is spectacular, and it ends with Gideon using the darksaber to get away with Mando's tie fighter.  Reception: Chapter 8 is one of the best in the two seasons of Mandalorian, and it was rated 98% in a website review. Awards: The Redemption received the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series from the Primetime Emmy Awards 2020 and was nominated in Hugo Awards 2020.  3. Chapter 13: The Jedi  Synopsis: Din traveled to planet Corvus and offered a Beskar Spear to take out Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson. Ahsoka Tano revealed Baby Yoda's name to be Grogu, and Din wants Ahsoka to train the Child. However, she informs him to find another Jedi Master to train and tap Grogu's real potential through the force.  Reception: The Jedi is one of the best episodes full of one-on-one fights, making the episode highly recommendable for all Star Wars fans. It is ranked fourth in a company streaming program.  Awards: Chapter 13: The Jedi accepted the awards of Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography, Drama Episode in Gold Derby Awards 2021, Outstanding Sound Mixing, and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup in Emmy's.  Also Read: What's the Best Gift for Star Wars Fans? 4. Chapter 3: The Sin Synopsis: The Sin is one incredible episode in the first season where Mando's first encounter with the Empire. A rescue mission turned into a full-blown conflict between fellow Mandalorians and Stormtroopers when Mando decided to get the Child back.  As Mando returns for the Child, he starts to change for the better and becomes the protector of the Child, and their bond develops.  Reception: The perfect balance of fighting scenes, the Mandalorian backstory, and crucial information about the darksaber gained a 95% approval rating on a movie review website.  Awards: The team took home the Outstanding Model in a Photoreal or Animated Project and was nominated in Emmy's. 5. Chapter 6: The Prisoner  Synopsis: This chapter from the first season is a bottle episode where Mando joins an unrecognized crew to rescue a prisoner of the New Republic. The prison breakout runs smooth however, Mando has been betrayed by the motley crew. Good thing, he managed to escape the doublecross with the ship intact.  Reception: This chapter holds a roughly 83% approval rating from an American review website for film and television. The episode has fun moments but needs a little forward momentum.  Awards: The Prisoner was nominated in Primetime Emmy Award 2020 for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup and Outstanding Virtual Cinematography.  6. Chapter 1: The Mandalorian Synopsis: For the first episode of Mandalorian, Mando is a bounty hunter who accepted a mysterious commission from a client. In return to this is a container full of beskar used to create Mandalorian armor.  After the face-off between Mando and IG-88, he discovered that the package was not contraband but Baby Yoda. It is also the debut appearance of Carl Weathers as Greef.   Reception: The pilot chapter is a great episode with a high approval rating not lower than 90% from an American television review website. Director Dave Filoni successfully established the spirit and the setting for the whole season.  Awards: The episode received Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program (Half-Hour), Outstanding Sound Editing in Emmy's, Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing in Motion Pictures. Chapter 14: The Tragedy Synopsis: After following Ashoka's guidance for Mando to take Baby Yoda to the Seeing Stone to meditate and reach out to the Jedi Master, the titular tragedy will happen. Moff Gideon with the Dark troopers will follow closely and kidnaps the Child, so Mando needs help.  The armor of Boba Fett was stolen. Boba Fett arrives and to convince him to help recover Grogu, Mando promises to return the armor to Boba Fett. Chapter 7: The Reckoning Synopsis: The Reckoning is the first season's introduction to grater tapestry, where Mando's chance encounters with IG-88, Cara Dune, and Kuiil will pay off. It is also the debut of Moff Gideon to the Star Wars fans. The villain showed off his prowess and ruthlessness to capture the Child.  Reception: The 7th chapter of Mandalorian received critical acclaim and a high approval rating of not lower than 97%.  Awards: The production won the Emmys for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series. With the help of Mayfield, they can track down Gideon's ship. Mando's squad will disguise and break into an imperial base and mess hall to rescue the Child.  In addition, the penultimate episode also features something about the redemption arc for Migs Mayfield.  Reception: The believer receives a score of 88% on a website's review in America. It has a great build-up for the season-ender.  Awards:  The team took home the Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series from the Emmys.  10. Chapter 12: The Siege Synopsis: The second season climax started to build up in this chapter, where it involves multiple great heists. The team is set to destroy an old imperial base when they discover Moff Gideon's dangerous experiments with cloning. It also includes a silly Grogu subplot where he was sent to school where he became blue French macarons.  Reception: The chapter received the critical acclaim of 91% approval rating. It has the most significant episode and effortlessly evokes the icon of the series, thanks to Jon Favreau.  Awards: The chapter was nominated in Emmy's for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.  11. Chapter 11: The Heiress Synopsis: This chapter is the first-in-person appearance of Bo-Katan Kryze and her jetpacking glory. She appeared multiple times in the animated Clone Wars, and in this chapter, she introduces the difference between the Ideologies and Mandalorians. Her debut in Star Wars as a Mandalorian heiress is incredibly remarkable.  Reception: This chapter has an approval rating of 98% from a review website about film and television. The chapter has an action-packed installment that made the audience watching crave for more.  Awards: The Heiress has been nominated for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series in Emmy's.  12. Chapter 9: The Marshal  Synopsis: In this chapter, The Mandalorians seeks the help of God Koresh to reunite with the Child. He is then reunited with mechanic Peli Motto and meets with the town's Marshal, Cobb Vanth. The Marshal revealed that he is not a Mandalorian and just bought the armor from Jawas.  The Mandalorian agreed to team up with Tusken Raiders to kill the dragon, hoping that Vanth would give up the armor.  Reception: Based on a review-aggregated website in America, this episode scores almost 95% in its approval rating. It has a surprising twist with tons of turbo-loaded action, filling the gap from one episode to another.  Awards: The casts were nominated in Emmy's for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Directing. Also Read: Hilarious Star Wars Memes 13. Chapter 10: The Passenger Synopsis: Most fans remember the scenario where Grogu almost ate an entire family of dying species of Frog Lady. Grogu's obsession with the eggs of Frog Lady is unsettling to see since he eats species that are an endangered population.  Reception: With its storyline, The Passenger gathered an overall rating of roughly 80% as viewers find the plot one-off story and more frustrating than fun but leave a good spot for the next season.  Awards: There were no nominations nor awards received for this chapter.  14. Chapter 4: Sanctuary Synopsis: Bryce Dallas Howard directs Sanctuary, and this is the chapter where Cara Dune will be introduced. The storyline revolves around the Sanctuary for the Child in Sorgran and a local village to protect. Cara Dune and Din will create an AT-ST for the village's defense and train all those capable.  Din discussed with Omera the reason why he does not want to remove his helmet. At the end of the episode, an attempted assassination happened when a hunter managed to track him and Grugo.  Reception: The chapter scores an approval rating of roughly 88% on a film review website since the big action-set has a clean and precise conclusion and can be emotionally satisfying.  Awards: Sanctuary was nominated for Best Edited Drama Series and Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing.  15. Chapter 5: The Gunslinger Synopsis: The Gunslinger revolves around Jake Cannavale, the bounty hunter that Mandalorian defeated in a dogfight. However, the Razor Crest was damaged on an ice planet, so Mando lands in a reair facility in Tatooine.  Peli then begins to take care of the Child grows slightly fond of it while working on the imperial ship. Reception: A website gave an approval rating of about 73% to this chapter. It also became one of the least good in the entire episode of the Mandalorian because it lacked forward momentum and had plenty of fan service moments.  Awards: The Gunslinger, unfortunately, does not receive any awards or nominations.  16. Chapter 2: The Child Synopsis: The second episode of the Mandalorian is all about the origins of attachment between Mando and the Child. You will get a glimpse of the Child's purpose and true power. Mudhorn is going after Mando, but Grogu suspends the beast in the mid-air. However, since his power is untrained, Grogu collapses.  Reception: The Child was given an average rating of 92% of a website that reviews movies and tv series. Mandalorian and Boba Fett are two of the most prominent characters from the Star Wars franchise, The Mandalorian. While the Empire Strikes and new Disney+ characters both wear Mandalorian armor, they are different from one another.  Our team spent 24 hours of intensive research to compare Mandalorian vs Boba Fett.  Boba Fett or The Mandalorian - Who Wins? The Mandalorian Din Djarin won the fans' hearts in the American television series, The Mandalorian, streamed in Disney+. However, the titular hero in the series shares passing similarities with Boba, another classic fan-favorite character from the original trilogy of Star Wars.  While they both have fair similarities like their armor and their job as bounty hunters, their difference makes many viewers wonder if Mando will win over Boba. He was raised by his father, Jango Fett, and became a bounty hunter operating as the Galactic Empire ruled the galaxy before the Return of the Jedi.  On the other hand, Mando operates after the Kingdom falls where there is no stable government in the society anymore. In an interview with Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian is set long before The Force Awakens, where Mando operates in a much more unforgiving landscape. It seems like Cobb Vanth used it too much without trying to clean or maintain it well.  On the other hand, Din Djarin has well-maintained Mandalorian armor, and his tools, like the whistling birds, are incomparable. In addition, his Amban sniper rifle, IB-94 blaster pistol, and distinctive beskar helmet are powerful and advanced weapons [1].  One Isn't A True Mandalorian While the two characters wear the armor from Mandalore, Boba Fett is not a real Mandalorian. Boba Fett is a copy of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett and was raised on the planet of Kamino. Being a clone, he does not have a homeland but grows up learning Mandalorian culture.  On the contrary, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) is a human male Mandalorian orphaned by the Children of the Watch during the Republic Era.  One is A Warrior While One Is A Mercenary Boba Fett is a mercenary, while Din Djarin is a warrior. Boba Fett is a mercenary who gets paid for the rest of his missions. As a mercenary, he does whatever for whoever is paying him money unless bringing back the life of a dead bounty.  On the other hand, The Mandalorian was a former mercenary and bounty hunter in the first place. Recalling the past episode, he was set to bring home Baby Yoda in return for Camtono of Beskar. Since he was born as a clone of hunter Jango, he was left with his own devices after his father died in the Attack of the Clones (Clone Wars Series) at the hands of Mace Windu. Instead of following the code of morals, He forged his path.  On the other hand, Din Djarin was indoctrinated with the belief system and philosophies of the Mandalorian tribe. Being saved and raised by the Mandalorian, Djarin is bound to the Mandalorian Code.  Boba Fett Is A Villain Boba Fett is considered a villain in the Return of the Jedi. He works for Jabba Hutt, one of the bad guys in the original trilogy. Some of his adventures involve capturing and torturing characters like Han Solo and Darth Vader in Star Wars movies, and he has no redeeming qualities.  On the other hand, it is unclear if Mando is a hero or an enemy. However, as you can recall in the early Mandalorian episodes, he wants to do the right thing, but it can be a very windy road.  Boba Fett Has A Chance For A Cameo Many theories from the fans, which are posted all over the internet, say that Boba Fett is still alive and survived the Sarlacc Pit. Most are convinced that he is, so a chance for a cameo will be a thing. Both Wear Mandalorian Armor The first similarity between the two characters is they wear the same armor. The armor is forged from beskar, which has incredible resilience and is often passed down from generation to generation. Both of them use the armor of Mandalorians, and it only has a few subtle differences. Fett was a copy of the bounty hunter, Jango Fett, before the Attack of the Clones by George Lucas, so he was technically not born in Mandalore.  On the other hand, the main character Mando is also not born in Mandalore. Our guy was adopted by a Mandalorian who saved him from the droid that killed his parents. But why does Boba Fett sleep in water? Both Are Bounty Hunters The Mandalorian and Boba Fett's third similarity is their line of work. He was hired to hunt down Han Solo for Jabba while Djarin was on the hunt for Mythrol. The two bounty hunters established a great reputation in their chosen line of work. Yes, Boba Fett became a Mandalorian. In his promise with Fenn Shysa, he became a Mandalore and led the Mandalorians through the Yuuzhan Vong War. "Long ago, four nations lived together in harmony" is the famous introduction of one of the highest-rated animated series of all time, Avatar. Iroh explains to Zuko about the destiny he is trying to choose. Iroh also berates Zuko for not thinking about his plans. Zuko then lets Appa go to Aang and gives up his Blue Spirit disguise.  2. The Storm (Book 1, Episode 12) Episode 12 of Book 1 is the turning point of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The episode is about Aang and Zuko's origin. In this episode, it was revealed that Zuko, the antagonist, is not as evil as we thought, and Aang wasn't heroic before.  Aang revealed to Katara that he disappeared for 100 years because of guilt on a stormy day, which caused the Fire Nation to rise to power. On the other hand, Zuko was banished and was burned by his father. 3. The City Of Walls And Secrets (Book 2, Episode 14) Together with the team, Aang arrived in Ba Sing Se to find Appa and talk to the Earth King about the Black Sun. However, their tour guide, Joo Dee, keeps on hindering them from talking to the King. Katara devised a plan to sneak into a party to meet the Earth King, but Long Feng greeted them.  It turns out that the King has no power, and Long Feng controls the city to ensure that there is no war in Ba Sing Se. If they speak out, Long Feng indirectly threatens them about finding Appa and will be watched 24/7. 4. Sozin's Comet, Part 3: Into The Inferno (Book 3, Episode 20) In Sozin's Comet Part 3, Aang confronts Ozai, and his past life tells him to betray his principles and take the life of Firelord Ozai. However, Aang's peaceful nature prevailed, resulting in Lord Ozai overpowering the Avatar [1].  On the contrary, Azula's mental state begins to deteriorate as her coronation as the Fire Lord approaches. Zuko and Katara interrupted the ceremony as the ceremony began, and Azula challenged her brother with Agni Kai for the crown.  Unfortunately, Zuko was injured with the bolt meant for Katara. At the end of the episode, Zuko and Iroh reunite, and everyone cries.  5. Sokka's Master (Book 3, Episode 4) When Team Avatar saved a town from destruction by a meteorite, Sokka felt left behind. In the rest of the group, he is the only person who cannot bend. He then finds the swordmaster, Piando, to help him develop his skills as a warrior.  Sokka learns to forge his sword using the meteorite, and Piandao teaches him the weapon's versatility. The team misses Sokka and tries to joke around his absence, but they have no success. The Beach (Book 3, Episode 5) When Zuko, Azula, Ty Lee, and Mai were sent on a forced vacation, they attempted to behave like a normal teenager, but they failed. Before the night ends, the four-headed back to Chan's party and began trashing the house. The four villains united for the first time in years.  On the other hand, Aang and his team try to relax in a secluded hot spring where they assume the enemies will not spot them. Unfortunately, their team was recognized, and Fire Lord Ozai received the news that the Avatar was alive. A mysterious assassin attacked the team with firebending capabilities.  7. Sozin's Comet (Book 3, Episode 16) After Sozin's comet passes, Aang decides to fight the Fire Lord. However, his firebending skills need mastery. Avatar Kyoshi and the villagers did not believe that Aang was the reincarnation of Kyoshi Island's founder, so he demonstrated his airbending skills.
