When Does Black Widow Take Place? Your 2024 Update
After more than a year of waiting — and ten years after Scarlett Johansson first appeared as the titular character in the Marvel movie Iron Man 2 — Marvel Studios has finally released the Black Widow solo movie that tells us her origin story.
If you’re wondering how this new movie fits into the period of the Marvel cinematic universe, read on to find out.
Black Widow Marvel Timeline
Marvel movies are rarely linear, and the MCU timeline can be quite confusing. And the last time you saw her, you’re pretty sure you saw Natasha’s death at the present day at the end of Avengers: Endgame. So how does Black Widow fit into the MCU timeline?
Black Widow is set earlier in the Marvel timeline, and in case you need clarification, this is exactly when the story of Black Widow happens in the MCU timeline: right after Captain America: Civil War and before Avengers: Infinity War. So around 2016-ish.
If you need a more specific timeframe, Black Widow takes place right during the events of Captain America: Civil War film, before Natasha betrays Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and switches sides to Team Cap.
In Civil War, Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) were in hiding, and Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, and Falcon were imprisoned in an underwater jail called the Raft. Iron Man and his team were under the government’s control.
At the beginning of the movie, we hear Secretary Ross (William Hurt) say that Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Sam Wilson (Falcon), and The Incredible Shrinking Convict (Ant-Man) are in custody, which places us in this timeline. Furthermore, she also comments about feeling left alone and the Avengers breaking up throughout the movie.

MCU Story Lines During Black Widow
Here are some Marvel storylines taking place simultaneously during the Black Widow timeline.
Year 1995
The Black Widow prologue, wherein we see a young Natasha Romanoff, takes place in 1995. We see her as an 11-year-old living in Ohio with her seemingly normal family, but we then learn that this is just a ruse. Her “parents,” Red Guardian Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour) and Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), were Russian spies on a three-year mission to obtain mind-controlling technology from SHIELD.
The main events of Captain Marvel are happening at the same time.
Year 2016
Most of Black Widow takes place in 2016, after she betrays Team Iron Man and helps Captain America (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) escape in the Civil War movie.
Natasha decides to hide in Europe, but her pretend sister from the past, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), gets in touch with her as she is also a fugitive who broke free from the mind-control training center called the Red Room. The film is largely set around this plot.
Remembering her own time in the Red Room, she helped her adoptive family bring it down.
At this time, we know that the events of Civil War are happening, as well as the marvel movies Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok.

Year 2023
The post-credits scene in Black Widow takes place in the MCU sometime in 2023, right after Natasha dies in Avengers: Endgame. We see Yelena cleaning her grave.
Other events happening around the same period are WandaVision, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Do Dreykov and the Widows Play a Part in Other MCU Story Lines?
Although Dreykov played a big role in Natasha’s past, he didn’t play that big a part in other Marvel storylines. We learn that he is the Red Room instructor and that he has a wide network of young girls that he called “widows,” but that’s it.
The “widows” are trained to become deadly assassins and are mind-controlled and psychologically trained to stay obedient. In a way, the young girls become some form of human weapon.
Black Widow Ending
When we see Natasha in the film's final scene, she has a dramatically new look: her hair is blonde and she’s sporting her sister’s jacket. She meets Mason, a contrabandist, who loans her a jet to aid in the Raft prison break.
In the film Captain America: Civil War, when Captain America finally arrived and broke inside the Raft to rescue his friends, he was using a jet. And although we don’t see Black Widow Natasha anywhere in the scene, we learn of her contribution through the film.
Is Natasha Really Dead? Post-Credit Explained
We see Natasha die in Planet Vormir while helping Hawkeye retrieve the Soul Stone at the end of Avengers: Endgame, so yes, she’s really dead.
After the credits roll, we see Yelena cleaning her grave and Contessa Valentina (Julia Louis Dreyfus), Val in short, approaching. Yelena complains about having to talk about work during her vacation, and Val tells her that she’s got a new target lined up for her. She shows a picture of Hawkeye.
We don’t know why Val would want Hawkeye dead, but we assume this is going to be revealed in the Hawkeye TV series.
FAQs
Is Hawkeye in Black Widow?
While Hawkeye is referenced plenty of times in the movie, Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye, never actually appears in the film.
Who is Black Widow's sister?
Although they aren’t blood-related, Natasha grew up with Yelena for a few years in Ohio while her pretend family was out on a secret mission to obtain mind-control technology from SHIELD.
Why did Marvel change Taskmaster in Black Widow?
In the Black Widow comics, Taskmaster is a criminal who has uncanny photographic reflexes [1]. He can mimic the movements of his adversaries and thus be able to predict every one of their moves. In one incident, he trained a few on the fighting style of Captain America and how best to defeat him. His name is Tony Masters.
In the Black Widow movie, however, Taskmaster is a mind-controlled Antonia Dreykov, the daughter of the same Dreykov from the Red Room. This move felt like nothing more than just a way to amp up the drama, and the character felt like a waste as she didn’t even display any of the signature Taskmaster moves.
In Summary
Although we feel that the MCU movie Black Widow didn’t really contribute anything new to the franchise story-wise, it still gives the titular Black Widow character her much-needed background and stitches a few plots neatly.

Black Widow Character (2024) Your Ultimate Resource
After ten long years, Marvel Studios finally released the Black Widow movie that ultimately explains her much-needed history. All we know about her from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films is that she is an amazing assassin with a few secrets up her sleeve.
But who exactly is Black Widow, and what is her story?
Who is Black Widow?
Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, was born in 1984 and raised to become a covert Russian spy in the Red Room Facility. This training program was called the Black Widow Program, wherein they took young girls and created elite and deadly assassins out of them. Dreykov spearheaded this program.
Natasha Romanoff was actually first introduced as an adversary to the Avengers. When Hawkeye was sent on a mission to get rid of her, he found himself saving the spy instead. The two formed a friendship, and he was the main reason for her defecting and working with the Avengers instead.
In Civil War and Infinity War, Black Widow’s character is seen forming friendships with Captain America and the rest of the Avengers.
She is also sometimes referred to as Natasha Romanova.

Why is Natasha Romanoff Called Black Widow?
“Widow” is what they called a student in the Black Widow Program. Natasha became the star pupil in the training program and was noticed by the headmistress over the other women. Just like a black widow spider goes unnoticed until it bites, her small stature as a girl often gets overlooked until she shows off her murderous skills.
She becomes the top covert assassin in the whole world and is one of the best in history. The deadly super-spy Yelena Belova is her successor, who she catches up with when her past arises in the film.

What’s Her Personality?
Black Widow is cool and calm even in the most pressuring situations. Although Black Widow Natasha Romanoff is human and doesn’t have any innate superpowers like Thor or Spider-Man, she is highly skilled in martial arts. She has mastery of complicated weapons, thanks to her assassin training in the past.
The events in her past have also made it difficult for her to trust others. She’s often regarded as quite mysterious and hard to read by others, including Agent Nick Fury. This trait left her with a lot of broken relationships.
As soon as she decides to trust, though, she is extremely loyal and dependable.
Is Black Widow a Villain or Hero?
Black Widow was initially trained as a villain in the past, but she defected to the good side. And while Natasha now fights villains, she hasn’t fully let go of the darker parts of her personality and chooses to torture her enemies.

Who Plays the Character of Black Widow?
Natasha Romanoff Black Widow is portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. She first made an appearance as the character in the 2010 film Iron Man 2 and has consistently shown up in several films in the Marvel universe. She trains hard in order to be able to do all the impressive fight scenes and stunts in the movies. She is also an Academy Award-nominated actress from her performance in the 2019 film Marriage Story.
However, did you know that Marvel Studios initially wanted actress Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) for the role, and she didn’t even have to audition to be part of the cast? However, she had to turn down the part due to a scheduling conflict with another movie [1]. She knew that the producers would not wait for her to finish shooting the rest of her scenes with the other film and the role ultimately went to Scarlett.
Other actors considered for the cast were Angelina Jolie, Jessica Biel, and Natalie Portman (who was cast as Jane Foster in Thor instead).
FAQs
Who is Black Widow in love with?
In the original Black Widow Marvel comics and animated series, she’s romantically involved with a few of our Marvel characters, including Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Clint Barton (Hawkeye), and Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier). She was also briefly married to test pilot Alexei Shostakov until his fake death.
In the films, though, we see her having a few romantic scenes with Bruce Banner (The Hulk).
Who is Black Widow’s father?
Black Widow’s father is different depending on whether you read the comics or watched the movies.
In the Marvel comics, we don’t know much about her father but that she was raised by a man named Ivan Petrovich when her parents died in the Battle of Stalingrad. It is also rumored that she may be part of the imperial Romanov family, but this was never confirmed.
The movies explicitly state that her father is a man named Ivan Romanoff. She also had a poster father named Alexei Shostakov from when she was involved in a dangerous conspiracy in Ohio.
She also had a fake little sister named Yelena Belova, who eventually held the Black Widow mantle.
In Summary
Black Widow is a fearless woman who stands behind things that she loves, even if it means sacrificing herself for the greater good. We might not find ourselves in the midst of a universal war (at least, we hope not), but we can learn a thing or two from what she fights for.

Powers & Abilities
A young Natasha was trained in the Black Widow Program, a secret Russian spy program in a facility called the Red Room. She progressed in ranks and became Black Widow Natasha after World War II.
The Russian government program, headed by a man named Dreykov, trained the young girls — Black Widows — to become Soviet Super Soldiers and used psychological conditioning to make them obedient. The girls were also enhanced with super-soldier serum, which gave them peak human strength and stamina and slowed their aging.
In Natasha’s case, she doesn’t have any inherent superpowers like Thor or Scarlet Witch, but she is an expert in handling advanced weaponry and highly skilled in martial arts. One of her weapons is called the widow’s bite.
She has superb intelligence, is quite unpredictable, and is very calm and collected.

Allies
Because of her past, Natasha has a difficult time trusting people. Hawkeye is one of the few people she trusts. They were even briefly romantically involved in the comics, and he was actually her influence for defecting to the Avengers.
Another ally — and at times, enemy — is Yelena Belova, who trained in the Red Room sometime after her. Although Natasha refers to her as a sister, Yelena is not exactly devoid of all evil as she had been involved with HYDRA and even became the Red Room’s deadliest assassin.

Enemies
It was hard for Natasha to think of Ivan Petrovich, the man who raised her when she became an orphan, her most dangerous enemy. After all, the man took care of her during her formative years.
However, Natasha discovered that he developed less-than-welcome feelings for her, which she rejected. He took this rejection personally and faked his death, eventually returning as a cyborg who wanted to take over the world. Natasha had no choice but to kill the man who raised her.
Relatives
Natasha has no known blood relatives in the comic books aside from her mother leaving her with Ivan Petrovich and dying shortly afterward in the Battle of Stalingrad.
It is rumored that she may be part of the imperial Romanov family, but this was never confirmed.
Groups
Aside from Avengers and SHIELD, Natasha became the leader of a short-lived group called the Champions, consisting of Johnny Blaze (Ghostrider), Hercules, and X-Men members Angel and Iceman. She was also recruited to the Secret Avengers by Steve Rogers.
Other Comic Versions
Black Widow 2099
Black Widow 2099 is portrayed by an African American woman named Tania. She was a solo hero approached by Alchemax, a corporation that controlled the Avengers in 2099, and asked her to become a team member. She’s been mentioned as a cannibal as she literally eats her partners after having sex with them.
Claire Voyant
Claire Voyant was actually the first woman trained to become the Black Widow. Not much is known about her but that she was a small-time medium who was killed by one of her clients in a ritual gone wrong.
She was brought back to life by “Satan,” who gave her magic and supernatural powers and used her to hunt down evil sinners, who would then be offered to him so he could draw strength from their souls.
Yelena Belova
Yelena Belova is Natasha’s Black Widow successor in the Red Room Academy, and one of her first missions was to capture Natasha. Although she doesn’t see eye to eye with the rival Black Widow at times, Natasha still has a soft spot for the younger assassin.
Monica Chang
Monica Chang-Fury, Nick Fury’s ex-wife, is the second Black Widow in the comics after the untimely death of Natasha. She and Nick Fury divorced after she found out he had cheated on her multiple times. She is a regular woman with no superhuman powers, although highly skilled and trained in combat.
Ultimate Black Widow
The Ultimate Black Widow is referred to as the female Spider-Man by some. Jessica Drew is a female clone of Peter Parker who takes on the Black Widow persona and is the third in succession after Natasha and Monica.

Red Cat
In an alternate universe, Peter Parker has a romantic relationship with Natasha Romanoff, aka Red Cat.
Red Cat is an alternate reality version of Black Cat, wears a red suit instead of a black suit, and is a jewel thief instead of a super spy.
Age of Ultron
Most Avengers die in a nuclear attack in a dark alternate universe wherein Ultron ruled the world. Natasha is one of the few survivors, and she’s back to being a spy, but this time she’s going solo. She eventually teams up with Marc Spectre, aka Moon Knight, to take down Ultron.
FAQs
Who does Black Widow marry in the Marvel comics?
Natasha was once married to Alexei Shostakov, a test pilot, while she was still in Russia. The KGB faked his apparent death so he could become the Red Guardian, Russia’s version of the new Captain America. He was forced to cut ties with his wife.
Does Black Widow have a child in the comics?
In one of Marvel’s many universes, Black Widow and Captain America have a son named James Rogers. However, it is unclear whether this child was conceived through natural means as Natasha was sterilized as a child as part of the KGB Program.
Wrapping Up!
As one of the few Marvel girls in the lineup, Avengers Black Widow is one of the strongest and most important characters in the Marvel universe.

12. The Beast Below

We'll show you the best way to watch Doctor Who here.
15. Vincent and the Doctor
This is one of the Best Doctor Who episodes that showed the compassionate side of the Doctor. The Doctor's wish to bring Amy to supposedly peaceful locations brought them to a museum where he saw a painting of Vincent van Gogh of a church. He saw a not-so-pleasant-looking face on the church's window of the drawing of Vincent van Gogh. This prompted the Doctor to go back to 1890 in the TARDIS and speak with the artist himself.
16. The Robots of Death
This was the fifth and penultimate serial of Season 14, one of the best episodes where Super-Voc, Voc, and Dum made their first and only appearance on television. The storyline was from Agatha Christie's work, where she plots a series of unexplained murders. This episode showed the Fourth Doctor and his companion Leela aboard a Sandminer, with the crew they believed guilty of murder.
17. Fugitive of the Judoon
This is a very interesting twist on Doctor Who, featured on the fifth episode of series 12, where an out-of-the-ordinary incarnation appeared, with "HER" own TARDIS. The Doctor used the "Ruth Clayton" identity, whom they believed had used a Chameleon Arch. The Fugitive of Judoon episode is about a hunt of a runaway which led the Thirteenth Doctor to modern-day Gloucester.
18. Forest of the Dead
This is one of the best Doctor Who episodes and heartbreaking as this showed the death of River Song. This is the ninth episode of series 4, where the Doctor is running out of options because of the Vashta Nerada. Thus us a two-part story where the first is Silence in the library, Forest of the dead is the second. The end of the character of River Song opened a new era in the show.
19. The Stolen Earth
The Stolen Earth is probably one of the best Doctor Who episodes. Davros appeared on this twelfth and penultimate episode of series four, where Dalek Caan escaped. Several past companions reappeared, including Sarah Jane but also showed Harriet Jones dying.
Earth was stolen along with twenty-six other planets and was taken to the Medusa Cascade, but the Doctor is not seen in this episode. The Journey's End follows this episode which marks David Tennant's departure.
20. Tomb of the Cybermen
Cybermen were revived in this first episode of season 5 of Doctor Who. This is because of the conning plan of Klieg and Kaftan, who wanted the strength of these creatures. Unfortunately, the tombs were not real tombs but a giant trap to lure humans into converting them to Cybermen. The Twelfth Doctor has yet to appear, but he too had a nemesis as scary as these.
FAQs
Who is the highest-rated Doctor?
David Tennant was the highest-rated Doctor who played the role for four years and six months. He started in 2005 and made his last appearance in 2010. River Song's Doctor Peter Capaldi was a remarkable Twelfth Doctor as well.
What is the scariest Doctor Who episode?
Almost all the episodes in Doctor Who were scary, including Blink, but Midnight still caused many fans to scream from their seats. The Doctor encountered an evil entity on the train as he embarked to a famed alien site in the modern era.

How to Watch Doctor Who (2024) Beginner's Guide
I ended up at a party full of World Health Organisation medics- Apparently, I've gone to the wrong Doctor WHO convention.
This is not going to happen if you watched the real Doctor Who time travel series on BBC. Though it will never appear on Torchwood as per Steven Moffat, the rest of the world will continue to love watching Doctor Who starting from Series 1.
We’ll show you how to watch Doctor Who the right way, right now.
3 Things To Know When Watching Doctor Who
1. Who's the Doctor?
Doctor Who comes from the humanoid alien race called Time Lords, but he is somehow different from the rest of the inhabitants of Gallifrey. The main protagonist of this TV series travels in his vehicle called the TARDIS. Regeneration is a trick under the sleeves of Doctor Who.
It allows them to trick the reaper when on the verge of death. It rewrites their biology, which then changes their appearance as it happens. This is how a new Doctor Who comes out. Every episode shows the Doctor's adventure, which sometimes is very heartstopping, like The Day of the Doctor episode, a special episode aired in 2013.
This is a 50th Anniversary Special presentation of the Doctor Who series. Interesting fact, though, about Torchwood. This is a spin-off of Doctor Who, but the series's creator said that the Doctor would not appear on the show.

2. What's a Companion?
The companion keeps the immortal Time Lord grounded as it acts as the force of balance of the Doctor's unimaginative abilities. What happened in "The Waters of Mars" on the Tenth Doctor special would let you know why Doctor Who needs a companion to be effective with his infinite quest in time and space.
Moreover, the two are also friends and confidants. The race of the Companions varies as they come from various species and planets. There is always someone traveling with the Time Lord. A special Doctor, Thirteenth, played by Jodie Whittaker, had companions from previous episodes- Rose, Jack, Sarah Jane, Martha, and Mickey.
3. Who are the Villains?
Adversaries are what the Doctor has, and in these episodes, one appears, making the protagonist's life extremely difficult. The Daleks and the Cybermen are the genocidal(1) alien races that want to eradicate all life forms or recreate them into their image.
These two are not the only headache to the Doctor as his own race also has a rogue Time Lord named The Master, who wants to spread evil and cause chaos. The Waters of Mars also showed a different villain to the Tenth Doctor, played by David Tennant. The Doctor and Sarah Jane adventures are made exciting by these villains even in the classic releases.

Doctor Who Episodes Based On Your Preference
For Newbies - Blink Episode
Blink is probably one of the scariest Doctor Who series released. They introduced the Weeping Angels in this episode. This is not one of the ordinary villains made by the BBC TV program producers but a very cunning nemesis that kills faster than a blink of an eye.
They highlighted the story of the Weeping Angels in this series. How these evil beings terrorized the night and threatened every living creature was truly scary.
For Quick Catch-Ups - Pilot Episode
Series 1 of Doctor Who is worthy of viewing if you want to fully grasp this TV program's out-of-the-box tale as this started everything about the series and the scary night that brings out enemies trying to destroy a planet or rage war in space.
This episode inspired spin-offs in the first series though it was a bit long. These are still available online, which are best to watch at night.
For the Best Episode - Eleventh Hour
This is the initial episode of the fifth series, which we considered the best Doctor Who episode of the season. The Doctor only has Amy Pond to help him while the screwdriver is damaged and the TARDIS is a wreck. This can be considered as a prequel to an episode released in 2005.
This is an out-of-the-box prequel of the protagonist trying to save the day, and it is available to view online along with other spin-offs such as Sarah Jane adventures.
For the Best Introduction - Rose
This is the first episode of the series released in 2005. The Daleks were also introduced in this series and showcased how much threat it can give, just like in episode 6. Episode 6 of season 1 was all about Dalek. The Doctor and Sarah Jane adventures are not yet featured in this release but are equally entertaining if you enjoy the older releases.

Time to Binge-Watch Doctor Who!
Doctor Who has been around since 1963 and proven to provide the best entertainment, regardless of who the Doctor is. Preferred actors play the role, but people still get hooked on it because of the out-of-the-box storyline. BBC proved over and over that the series is going to stay until the end of time. Or until another prequel shows Daleks destroyed for good.
If you don't know yet, Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. If you already saw how great that show is, you should feast your eyes on the series where it all started. Do it online, at night, to get a better feel.

15 Best Naruto Fights (2024) Your Epic Battle Guide
All shonen fans would probably agree that Naruto Shippuden has one of the best fights in all of the manga. From the manga’s first major story arc when Naruto was still an aspiring Biju master up to his success to becoming the great toad sage, the best Naruto fights are totally mind-blowing.
Check out this article to see if you have chosen the same tough battles that made it to our top list.
15 Epic Naruto Fights
1. Naruto vs. Sasuke
The first battle on our list is the epic fight between Sasuke Uchiha vs Naruto. This battle defined the pre-Shippuden arc of this classic anime. When Sasuke Uchiha fled the Leaf Village, his curse mark made him ultimately stronger.
Although Sasuke continued to pursue his power outside the Leaf Village, Naruto blindly chased after him despite the danger. Naruto risked his life out of his loyalty. Both rivals dueled at the waterfall under the imposing statues of Madara Uchiha and the first Hokage.
2. Naruto vs. Pain
Pain had become the ultimate rival for almost all ninjas in Konoha, especially when he infiltrated the Rain Village. However, they could barely defeat the Shinra Tensei of Pain until Naruto decided to face him in an intense, one-on-one battle. Their battle against each other became iconic.
With Naruto’s combination of Rasengan, Sage Mode, and Shadow Clones, he defeated Pain. After Pain's defeat, he decided to revive everyone in Konoha who passed away during Pain’s attacks.
3. Naruto, Rock Lee, & Gaara Vs Kimimaro
Kimimaro may only be a teenager, but he is too powerful to be defeated by only one hero. With his bone-based kekkei Genkai, not even Naruto’s battalion of shadow clones could defeat his rampage. Even when Rock Lee’s drunk-fu and Gaara, the bony monster’s strikes against Kimimaro were on the ropes to defeat him.
4. Kakashi vs. Obito
The animated fight between Kakashi vs Obito Uchiha also made it to our list of the best Naruto fights in history. When Obito teleported Kakashi into his dimension using his Kamui, they gave us one of the best Naruto fights among all the episodes in the series.
Even amidst the flashback of their childhood friendship, Kakashi plunged his arm through Obito’s chest with a Chidori attack, taking his former friend’s life.
5. Rock Lee vs. Gaara
This fight was one of the ten duels during the Chunin exams’ tower phase. This prize-fight truly reflected the recurring theme of Naruto about putting raw and inborn talent into an all-out battle against hard work and diligence.
Rock Lee may not be an inborn ninja with superior power. Still, he managed to push Gaara into his limits when they dueled, proving to his enemy that his dedication to practice hard had paid him well off.
6. Naruto Vs Gaara
Watching Naruto’s intense and all-out fight against Gaara is perhaps one of the most emotional fights of this series. Naruto Uzumaki fought against him on the same day that he fought Neji. When Naruto opened his heart and let the monsters inside his heart go, his tearful words transformed his enemy into an ally.
7. Squad 7 Vs Zabuza Momochi
This battle occurred on the bridge to the Land of Waves. Haku used his crystal mirror and needle Jutsu attacks and put Naruto and Sasuke on the defensive stance, among other things.
However, when Sasuke was on the brink of defeat, Naruto Uzumaki turned the tables in grief when he used his Nine-Tails cloak. Kakashi defeated Zabuza using his Lightning Blade, but Zabuza gave his life to defend Haku, risking his own life.

8. Naruto, Tsunade, & Jiraiya Vs Orochimaru & Kabuto
This battle took place in pre-Shippuden storylines, which is one of the best fights in Naruto. The chaotic fight involved the three famed Sannin or legendary ninjas Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya.
The three ninjas had an earth-shaking battle with Orochimaru and Kabuto. Everything started when Orochimaru approached Tsunade to help his injured arms be healed. However, some things and other negotiations went south which made a 3-vs-2 battle erupt.
9. Neji Hyuga Vs Hinata Hyuga
This is a battle of power and skills between cousins Neji and Hinata. When Hinata of Squad 8 got fed up and finally decided to stand up against her cousin’s verbal abuse, their battle with each other began.
Although Hinata didn’t win the fight, she finally found the strength and courage to speak for herself. She then became a great ninja, which her mentor Kurenai applauded.
10. Minato vs. Obito
This combat happened when Naruto was born. Obito tried to kidnap the newborn Naruto by unleashing the Nine-Tails on Konoha. However, Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage and father of Naruto, stopped Obito from his evil plans.
Minato’s only option was to seal the Nine-Tails into his child and force Obito to retreat. Although his child escaped his end, Minato and his wife Kushina lost their lives.

11. Jiraiya vs. Pain
The combat between Jiraiya and Pain is also one of the best Naruto fights in history. This episode made us cry a bucket of tears and use tons of tissues. Jiraiya may have successfully destroyed the proxies of Pain using his sage mode techniques, but the sage came to his end. This epic battle also showed some tearful flashbacks about Jiraiya’s relationship with Naruto’s parents.
12. Guy vs. Madara
The fight between Guy and Madara occurred during the Fourth Shinobi World War. Might Guy fought off the Six-Tails and Madara alone. And, with his fullest capacities unlocked-unleashing the power of the Eight Inner Gates; he nearly won vs Madara Uchiha as the Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki. Madara even compared Guy’s performance to the First Hokage, albeit this very nearly cost his life. [1]
13. Sasuke vs. Itachi
This is a one-on-one match between brothers Itachi Uchiha vs Sasuke Uchiha, one of the highest-quality fights in Naruto. Sasuke tracked down Itachi, his sibling, after some years of training to challenge Itachi into a duel.
This episode between Sasuke vs Itachi Uchiha also topped our list of the most intense and most emotional matches in anime history. It gave the viewers an unexpected twist at the end that took them by surprise.
14. Naruto Uzumaki & Iruka Umino Vs Mizuki
Naruto had to borrow a forbidden jutsu scroll in his desperation to fight against Mizuki, who was out to kill him. In his first-ever battle, Naruto still lacked the flair of his jutsu. However, this episode is symbolically important to Naruto’s growth as a Hokage.
Iruka helped Naruto when Mizuki had him cornered. During this battle, Naruto had finally unlocked his first powerhouse technique, the shadow clone jutsu.
15. Shikamaru Nara Vs Kin Tsuchi
This is also one of the best fights in Naruto. Shikamaru may only be a support-type ninja-like Killer B who isn’t even well-suited for a duel. Still, he fought against Kin Tsuchi of the Sound Village and even won the combat with minimal bloodshed.

How Many Harry Potter Books Are There? 2024 Must-Read Guide
It’s been more than two decades since J.K. Rowling gave us a glimpse of what would be an iconic series. In fact, it created the Potterverse and the most popular fantasy movie of all time.
However, with all these book and movies in tow, people are still left wondering - how many Harry Potter books are there? Let’s find out.
7 Main Harry Potter Books
1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
You’re a wizard, Harry! As Harry turns eleven, he finally learns of his true nature - a wizard celebrated in the magic world for having defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (er...Voldemort) when he was just a baby. The news was delivered rather forcefully by Hagrid, a gruff half-giant who’s bound to accompany Harry on his first mystical adventure.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the novel that started it all. It was first published in the United Kingdom in 1997. The following year, it was released in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and his friends return to Hogwarts for their second year - this time with an epic entrance - as the flying Ford Anglia of the Weasleys come crashing into the Whomping Willow. And just when they thought their second year would just be breezing through, Harry learns that he can speak Parseltongue, they encounter the Chamber of Secrets, and again, ended the year with a Voldemort face-off. This time, as his younger self, Tom Riddle.
This novel’s film adaptation received extremely positive reviews and became the fifth highest-grossing film in history.
3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
In the third installation of the Harry Potter series, Harry meets his father’s friends. First, there’s Professor Remus Lupin, the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, with whom Harry forms a bond with. Lupin shows Harry how to use the Patronus charm to fight off the Dementors. We learn soon that Lupin’s been keeping a dark secret of his own - his being a werewolf.
Next, there’s Sirius Black - a supposedly mentally ill serial killed who just escaped Azkaban, the wizard jail. As a result, Dementors, characterized as faceless evil creatures, roam around Hogwarts in search of Black. To make things complicated, Harry had an “allergic” reaction to the Dementors, which caused him to faint during a Quidditch match.
Harry subsequently learns that Sirius Black is, in fact, his godfather.
4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
After joining the Weasley family and a few other friends in the exciting Quidditch World Cup, Harry returns for his fourth year at Hogwarts. Everyone was thrilled as the school was chosen to host the Triwizard Tournament to be participated by the three major wizarding schools - Hogwarts, Beauxbaton, and Durmstrang.
Only students aged at least 17 years old may participate - or so we thought. Apparently, Lord Voldemort had other plans. Harry reluctantly joined the match, and the purportedly delightful game turned into the gruesome murder of Hogwarts student Cedric Diggory.

5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
After learning about Voldemort’s return at the end of the Goblet of Fire, the Ministry of Magic appears to show no action, terrified to upset the old (and rich) Wizarding families. Now it’s up to the trio (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) to take action as they form the vigilante movement, Dumbledore’s Army.
J.K. Rowling released the fourth and fifth installation of the Harry Potter series three years after the third book. In fact, before the launching of the fifth book, around 200 million copies of the first four books were sold and translated into different languages in more than a hundred countries.
6. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry and the Half-Blood Prince teaches us about trust, death, and loyalty, among others. Here, you’ll find how our well-loved characters grew from innocent First Years to sensible adolescents.
Professor Dumbledore teaches Harry Potter valuable lessons to train him on how to bravely face Voldemort in the future, something that was bound to happen. What Harry doesn’t know is that the Professor was planning something bigger - and evidently, heartbreaking.
The film version was released in 2009.

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows follows the events that occurred right after Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
In the seventh and final book, Harry Potter swears to find all of Voldemort’s Horcruxes and kill him once and for all. As we already know, the Horcruxes are personal artifacts that house pieces of Voldemort’s soul, making him invincible unless all are destroyed. This simply means that Harry needs to find all artifacts and destroy them before battling Voldemort.
The final battle takes place with many Death Eater and Wizard casualties, including Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, and Nymphadora Tonks. A weak Voldemort tries to Kill for the last time by using the Killing Curse, but the Elder Wand refused to heed his command. The spell rebounds on Lord Voldemort, getting rid of him forever.
The novel ends with a heartwarming epilogue set nineteen years later.
The seventh novel in the Harry Potter series retains the Guiness World Record as the most number of novels sold within the first 24 hours of publication, with more than 8 million sold in the United States alone (1).
Additional Book:
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Although it wasn’t part of the original 7-book series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a widely popular addition to the Harry Potter series. It begins where the Deathly Hallows epilogue left off, with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger-Weasley, and Draco Malfoy sending their children off to the magical Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Here we’ll find the unexpected bond and friendship between Harry’s son Albus and Malfoy’s son Scorpius.

Top 10 Puzzle and Traps for Your Minecraft Map
1. Simple Puzzle Trap
For this simple Minecraft puzzle trap, you need one gravity block, one stone or wooden pressure plate, and one TNT piece. Once you got everything ready, dig a hole all the way to the bedrock. Next, get back to the top. Place the TNT on the second block. Then place the gravity block on the top. To complete this puzzle, place the pressure plate on top of the gravity block.
2. Basic Parkour Room
A parkour room usually contains floating blocks over the lava pit. The player is extended to jump across it, with a chest at the end as sort of a reward. To make a parkour room, create a large room and place lava at the bottom. Put blocks over the lava. Then make a small alcove at the top and place a chest on it.
3. Tiles Puzzle
First, you need to create a room that has stone and wooden pressure plates. Only a few plates will be safe for the player. For instance, some wooden plates are safe to walk on, while others will push any player into the void. You can achieve this by using command blocks to teleport the player.
4. Netherrack Maze
To make a flaming maze, add netherrack sides at ground level, then set them on fire. The players will have a difficult time completing the maze without getting burned. To make the maze even more exciting, place a bedrock or a floating obsidian at least two blocks above the path of the maze.
5. Simple Fall Trap
A simple fall trap is just one of several Minecraft puzzle ideas that only require one floor plate, one pick axe, one trapdoor, and, well, a handful of zombies, four at least. Place a hidden trapdoor and trap the zombies inside. Add the pressure plate in front. When people try to get in, they’ll get attacked by the zombie mob.

7. Funbox Room Puzzle
In a long corridor or mine, place a block put a redstone torch on it. Connect it to a piston below a tower of gravel. Once the player tries to break the torch, the piston will retract, and the tower of gravel will fall on him. As an alternative, you can also add a gate that leads to a command block that allows the player to teleport to a Funbox room.
8. Door Explorer Puzzle
To create a door explorer, make piston doors with multiple keys. One good idea is to create an end portal frame with a redstone comparator that can be activated with an eye of ender. An alternative is to make a combination lock. You may also create one where a player has to rename a stick to the correct password and place it in a hopper chest that powers the door comparator.
9. Falling Floors Trap
This will make your Minecraft game exciting. First, arrange a floor filled with TNT. Place some gravel on top. Add a pressure plate on the gravel so when the player steps on it, the gravel disintegrates. Make sure that some parts of the floor won’t fall by replacing the TNT block with any other block.
10. Invisible Maze
For this maze, you need to make a long room made of obsidian or bedrock. Fill this with creepers. Then make a chest with a 3-minute invisibility potion. For this level, the level must reach the exit in time. Lest all the creepers will explode on him.

How to Frame a Puzzle (2024) All You Need to Know
Assembling puzzles provide people entertainment, thrill, and fulfillment. Hanging that exquisite design, unique painting, or your favorite iconic person and place gives you an ecstatic sense of accomplishment, right?
However, it is also important that you know how to frame a puzzle without damaging it. Well, you just got lucky because we’ve got the inside scoop.
5 Steps to Framing a Puzzle
1. Finish Your Puzzle & Flatten the Pieces
Of course, the first step in framing a jigsaw puzzle is to finish assembling it. After doing so, you will also have to flatten the pieces together to fit perfectly into the frame.
Sometimes, your favorite puzzles may have a few stray pieces that pop out of place. You may opt to press them down, which is possible. However, you can use a rolling pin to make your whole puzzle stay flat and make it look great while hanging on your wall.
2. Clean the Surface
Remember to ensure that the surface of the finished product is spotless before starting to apply glue. The surface of the puzzle should be free of dust or any unwanted scrap. This process will help you in making framed puzzles look pristine when you hang them.

3. Apply Glue to the Puzzle
The puzzle glue method is the best way to ensure that your puzzle stays together permanently. The glue will also ensure that the puzzle will not have any part that would fall apart. We also suggest using a piece of thin plastic, parchment, or wax paper underneath your puzzle before putting the puzzle glue. You may use a puzzle adhesive like the mod podge, any heat-sensitive adhesive, or a puzzle saver in framing the entire thing.
Parchment paper is treated with silicone, so it is non-stick; it is also heatproof and grease-resistant. [1] These materials will prevent the puzzle from adhering so you can carefully transfer it to the frame. You may use a piece of cardboard or any card with a straight edge to get rid of the excess glue.
4. Let the Puzzle Dry
Next, you’ll have to wait until the puzzle is fully dried. You might need to wait until at least 20 minutes to let a single coat dry up and make it stay intact pretty solid.
However, you may also opt to add another coat if you prefer, just make sure it stays flat and perfectly glued. We also suggest waiting for at least an hour before finally framing it. It is still best to wait a little bit longer until it totally dries off.
5. Find the Right Frame
The fun part is, you could choose from various puzzle frames, so it is equally necessary to find the best frame with the correct size. You wouldn’t want to buy a frame that is too large for your puzzles.
It would be a hassle to use double-sided packing tape just to keep your puzzles centered in the frame. You may also slide a poster board or a foam board for extra support or even add matting to it. After doing so, you can now hang your puzzle on the wall. Then, you can buy puzzles to assemble and frame next.
FAQs
Can you frame a puzzle without gluing it?
Yes, you can frame a jigsaw puzzle with no glue on it. For example, you may choose to use clear box frames to put your finished puzzle without glue. These frames can be easily found in a craft store or frame shop, so you shouldn’t really worry about where to find them. Dry mounting your puzzles is also possible.
What should I put under a puzzle to glue it?
You may use cover materials such as parchment or wax paper at the back of the puzzle to glue it. The puzzle pieces could stick to the table or any surface, which might ruin the whole piece.
Time to Display Your Puzzle!
It is always fulfilling to show something that displays your hard work and perseverance.
Hanging a framed puzzle is somewhat different from hanging any other art or normal photo/regular photo frame. Its weight is probably a bit heftier. Therefore, knowing how to do the proper procedure of framing puzzles is a must.
