25 Best Golden Girls Episodes (2024 UPDATED) Must Read

25 Best Golden Girls Episodes (2024 UPDATED) Must Read

Golden Girls is considered one of the best television shows, starring the quirky ensemble of Betty White, Rue McClanahan, Bea Arthur, and Estelle Getty. The entire series was highly rated and critically acclaimed, having won two Emmys and three Golden Globes during its runtime. It is also one of the only three shows whose four main stars have each won an Emmy for their performances.  So if you’re planning to re-watch the entire seven seasons, here are our picks for the best episodes of the Golden Girls.  Top 25 Golden Girls Episodes of All Time  1. One Flew Out of the Cuckoo's Nest Part 1 & 2 (Season 7, Episode 25 and 26)   The two-part series finale ranks as our favorite episode. It is beautifully heartwarming yet heartbreaking at times because we know it’s the last we’ll see of the Golden Girls.  The episode starts with Blanche dumping her Uncle Lucas (played by Leslie Nielsen) with Dorothy on a blind date, as she had a date planned prior and could not accommodate him. Blanche’s uncle and Dorothy start unsure, but as they get to know each other, they find out that Blanche has been telling them untrue stories about the other. The two seek revenge on Blanche by pretending to fall in love with each other.  Blanche is furious that Dorothy might end up being her aunt, and while the ruse is happening, Lucas and Dorothy develop romantic feelings for real. Lucas and Dorothy decide to be truthful to Blanche, not wanting to hurt her any longer, and Blanche gives her uncle and her best friend her blessing.  Two months later, Dorothy and Lucas get married, and Dorothy gets Blanche and Rose as her bridesmaids. Sophia tearfully lets her go and promises to stay and take care of Blanche and Rose in Miami.  Guest star Leslie Nielsen delivered a powerful performance in this episode, and we wish we’d seen more of him!  But are the Golden Girls still alive? 2. Letter to Gorbachev (Season 3, Episode 6)   Letter to Gorbachev tells the tale of how Rose touched the heart of Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev. She decides to send the Russian president a letter about ending the nuclear war. It is one of the most imaginative episodes of the Golden Girls.  An official of the Russian Embassy named Alexi Bovanov came to their home to look for Rose Nylund and told her that a press conference would be held in her honor to talk about world peace. They also wished to invite her to Russia so the president could formally meet her.  The Embassy suspects that a young girl may have written the letter due to its naivete, and the press conference ends with a shock when Rose reveals that she wrote it.  Betty White was beautifully innocent yet still totally believable in this episode.  Also Read: What's the Best Golden Girls Gift For Fans? 3. Before and After (Season 2, Episode 15)   In this episode, sweet Rose faces a near-death experience that leaves her determined to change her entire lifestyle and, consequently, her friends. She realizes that it’s a miserable life without true friends and decides to move back to the girls’ home.  4. Mrs. George Deveraux (Season 6, Episode 9)   Mrs. George Deveraux was one of the sitcom’s best episodes. Blanche receives flowers from a secret admirer, who turns out to be her late husband, George Deveraux (played by George Grizzard). Blanche is shocked -- after all, her husband had been dead for nine years in a car crash. George tells her that he faked his death because he found out that his business partner had been stealing from their company and was blaming him.  They share a touching kiss, but the audience soon discovers that everything was something Blanche concocted in a dream. Dorothy overhears the younger woman talking in her sleep and goes to console her.  In the episode’s subplot, Dorothy finds himself in the midst of a love triangle between Sonny Bono and Lyle Waggoner!  Rue McClanahan was wondrous in her performance in this episode.  Also Read: Golden Girls - Ages and More 5. Family Affair (Season 2, Episode 7)   In this Golden Girls episode, Rose’s daughter Bridget and Dorothy’s son Michael choose the same time to pay a visit to their parents’ home. The gal pals get shocked when they discover their children having a little romance!  6. In a Bed of Rose's (Season 1, Episode 15)   When Rose discovers that Al Beatty, a man she had been seeing casually, died from a heart attack after having sex with her, Rose is convinced that she has a death jinx -- after all, her late husband died similarly! She tracks down Al’s sister to tell her what happened, but she discovers that she was his wife instead and that he had sadly been unfaithful for many years.  7. To Catch a Neighbor (Season 2, Episode 24)   The four Golden Girls get two new neighbors in To Catch a Neighbor, which they invite over for dinner. The McDowells are nice and sweet, but when two detectives show up at their door, the girls discover that they are actually dealers in stolen gems!  8. Ladies of the Evening (Season 2, Episode 2)   Ladies of the Evening is one of the funniest episodes of the sitcom! Three of our girls (minus Sophia) are mistaken for prostitutes when they stay at a hotel bar to attend a Burt Reynolds movie premiere. This lands them in jail when the police arrest the real prostitutes. Sophia comes to their rescue, convincing the police that the three ladies had been mistakenly arrested.  Burt Reynolds guest stars as himself in this episode!  9. Never Yell Fire in a Crowd Parts 1&2 (Season 6, Episode 24 and 25)   In the penultimate episode of season 6, Rose, Dorothy, and Blanche fear that Sophia might get sent to jail when a former Shady Pines Retirement Home resident dies and pins her and Sophia as the culprit of the fire. Sophia struggles to remember the day in question, and she’s hardly exempt from jail time because of her age. Guess who swoops in to save the day? Rose!  Shop The Golden Girls Collection Now 10. Sick and Tired Part 1 and 2 (Season 5, Episode 1 and 2)   The series was considered way ahead of its time when they tackled mental illness in Sick and Tired, one of their best episodes. Dorothy had been to several doctors; however, they all but dismissed her. They all told her “it’s all in her head” when she asked them for a reason as to why she felt sick and tired all the time. The last straw came when one of the doctors told her that she just needed to try something new to “break the cycle,” like color her hair blond.  Hopeless, Dorothy tries one last time to get another doctor’s opinion; this time, she is advised to go to a specialist. The specialist diagnosed her with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, a real illness -- the series creator Susan Harris was afflicted by it when she co-wrote this episode.  Bea Arthur’s performance in this episode was truly remarkable. Here are our favorite quotes from Golden Girls! 11. Dorothy's Prized Pupil (Season 2, Episode 21)    One of Dorothy’s students, a Cuban immigrant named Mario, submits an essay about his first day in America. Dorothy feels it would win him an award should she submit it to a writing contest. Mario wins, but an agent from the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services spoils their celebration by revealing that the young boy is in the country illegally.  Both Mario and Bea give heartwarming performances at the episode’s unhappy ending, when the student gets deported. Also, fun fact: a young Mario Lopez [1] -- the now-famous talk show host -- stars as Mario!  12. The Mangiacavallo Curse Makes a Lousy Wedding Present (Season 5, Episode 23)   The wedding of Jenny, Dorothy’s goddaughter, is fast approaching. Rose, Dorothy, and Blanche are frustrated because they can’t get dates; on the other hand, Sophia is determined to show up looking good because a beau from her past, Giuseppe Mangiacavallo, is expected to be there. She holds a grudge against him for leaving her at the altar 70 years ago.  Since then, Sophia has put a curse on Mangiacavallo, and tells him at the wedding that she has planned for all the happiness of the day to “come crashing down on your head.” Mangiacavallo scoffs and doesn’t believe her until the newlyweds get into a fight that threatens to ruin the reception.  Mangiacavallo asks Sophia to forgive him, and she lifts the curse off.  13. The Case of the Libertine Belle (Season 7, Episode 2)   “The Case of the Libertine Belle” is a known fan-favorite episode due to its gripping mystery feel. Blanche invites the rest of the Golden Girls over to her company’s murder-mystery weekend outing. Dorothy solves the puzzle single-handedly, and everyone applauds her.  Meanwhile, Blanche gets involved in a real murder mystery weekend, and it’s up to Dorothy and her sleuthing skills to clear her name.  14. The Sisters (Season 2, Episode 12)   Sophia’s birthday is coming up, and Dorothy struggles to find the perfect present for her. When the idea of having Sophia’s sister Angela over comes to her, she thinks she’s concocted the perfect surprise! However, the girls soon learn why the sisters have not spoken for the past 30 years -- because of a huge fight and suspicion of betrayal. It’s now up to Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche to bring peace to the fighting sisters.  15. Witness (Season 6, Episode 21)   In the episode “Witness,” Rose is trying to move on with her life with her new boyfriend, Karl, when a past flame who worked undercover in the Witness Protection Program attempts to get back together with her.  16. An Illegitimate Concern (Season 5, Episode 18)   Sophia takes Dorothy to a mother-daughter competition in Shady Pines to beat an old rival, which they won runners-up to. Meanwhile, a mysterious young man shows up at the door of their Miami home, looking for George Devereaux. After Blanche confronts him, he reveals that he is an illegitimate son of her late husband, which hurts her, as she had remained faithful to George while they had been together.  17. 72 Hours (Season 5, Episode 19)   “72 Hours” episode features a progressive take on a sensitive subject that was considered taboo at the time: HIV. Rose is afraid that she may have gotten HIV from a blood transfusion she had undergone several years ago and has to wait 72 hours to receive the result.  Blanche comforts Rose and tells her that she went through the same thing, but she’s learned her lesson and makes sure to know about her partner’s sexual history and to use protection. Rose is stressed and insults Blanche’s sex life; she claims she is “too good” to have gotten this virus. Blanche reminds her that getting HIV is not a punishment from God and that having the virus doesn’t mean you are a bad person.  18. Sophia's Wedding Parts 1 and 2 (Season 4, Episodes 5 and 6)   In “Sophia’s Wedding,” Sophia learns of her late husband’s business partner’s wife’s death and heads over to Brooklyn to pay her respects. She remains antagonistic to Max Weinstock (played by Jack Gilford), who she believes had squandered away all of her husband’s fortunes. She finds out that it had been her husband and not Max who was at fault, and he was merely covering for him. The two hook up… and decide to get married right then and there, much to Dorothy’s dismay.  They get a house by the beach and turn it into a pizza and knish stand, which their late beloveds had always wanted. When the store catches fire and burns down, the two realize that they didn’t want to run a pizza and knish stand, much less stay married to each other... and the two amicably part ways.  19. Mister Terrific (Season 3, Episode 24)   Rose meets television star Mr. Terrific at a local mall, who asks her out on a date the same evening. When he comes over to the girls’ house that night, he offers Dorothy an excellent opportunity: to become a consultant on his show!  Dorothy shows up on her first day of work and makes brilliant suggestions to the show’s producer, ultimately getting Mr. Terrific fired. It isn't her intention at all, but seeing how her actions affected Mr. Terrific, she convinces the producer to bring him back on air. The episode takes a turn for the worse when she is chosen to replace Mr. Terrific as the host of the program! 20. Brother, Can You Spare that Jacket? (Season 4, Episode 8)   The Golden Girls are ecstatic when they discover that the lottery ticket they bought cost $10,000, which they hide in Blanche’s jacket. Sophia mistakenly puts the jacket inside a box meant for goodwill, and the four girls race around the state on a “follow that jacket” course.  21. Old Friends (Season 3, Episode 1)   Estelle Getty, who played Sophia Petrillo, showcased her acting chops and won an Emmy for her performance in “Old Friends” (aside from that episode when Sophia’s son dies). Sophia establishes a friendship with Alvin (played by Joe Seneca), a man she meets at the beach, with whom she quickly shares a unique bond as they relate to each other over their children and late spouses. After spending more and more time together, though, Alvin’s erratic behavior leads her to conclude that he might have Alzheimer’s disease, and he will need to be taken to a special care facility as soon as his condition worsens. Sophia knits him a scarf as a symbol of their friendship.  The episode’s subplot shows Rose’s teddy bear held hostage by one of her Sunshine Cadets.  22. Three Friends on a Couch (Season 3, Episode 11)   The girls decide to seek a therapist when the cracks in their friendship begin to manifest. This is a hilarious flashback episode as the girls recount the problematic points (like Rusty Anchor nights, St. Olaf stories, and the Nudist Resort) in their relationship. This entire episode just shows how deeply they care for one another.  23. Break-In (Season 1, Episode 8)   After the girls attend a Madonna concert, they find that their home has been broken into. Dorothy loses her fur and Blanche her jewelry. They try unsafe yet hilarious ways of making their home safer, such as installing a burglar alarm and even bringing home a guard dog from the shelter, all to no avail.  24. Dorothy's New Friend (Season 3, Episode 15)    Dorothy makes a new friend, Barbara Thorndyke (played by Bonnie Bartlett), in this episode. Rose and Blanche don’t like Barbara as they feel that she treats everyone else condescendingly and uses her intelligence to make everyone else look stupid. Dorothy makes the difficult choice of attending the exclusive Mortimer Club at Barbara’s request, or the Masquerade Ball, which means so much to Rose.  25. Till Death Do We Volley (Season 4, Episode 19)   A childhood friend named Trudy (played by Anne Francis) visits Dorothy in Miami. The old friends -- and occasionally, rivals -- play a spirited game of tennis when Trudy suddenly drops dead on the court. Dorothy is in shock, and so is everyone else when Trudy gets up and reveals that she was only playing practical jokes.  FAQS  How many episodes does Golden Girls have? How Strong Is Captain Marvel (2024 UPDATED) Must Read

How Strong Is Captain Marvel (2024 UPDATED) Must Read

We all know Captain Marvel says she’s more than capable of going “higher, further, faster” than the average bad guy and can definitely help in defeating Thanos, but just how strong is Captain Marvel really?  In this article, we’ll take an in-depth look at the Marvel universe character to give you the rundown on the power set of one of the strongest Avengers.  Who is Captain Marvel?  In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is an impulsive United States Air Force pilot exposed to the energy of the Tesseract (which housed the Space Stone) while unknowingly amid an inter-universe war. The explosion gave her powerful superhuman powers and abilities. She was abducted soon after by the Kree, who intended to use her as a weapon, and was subjected to a Kree blood transfusion that turned her into a Kree-Human hybrid.  She lost her memories during the process and started working as a soldier for Starforce. During one of the many fights in the Kree-Skrull War, the Marvel universe character was abducted by the Skrull, resulting in her returning to Earth and regaining her memories. Upon discovering that the Kree had been using and manipulating her all along, she quickly defected to the Skrulls, and fought on their side against the Kree invasion on Earth.  Like Captain America and other heroes, this powerful character now uses her powers to serve the many different universes across the galaxy and refers to herself as Captain Marvel.  Her Superpowers  Flight Carol Danvers always dreamed of becoming a pilot, and that dream was realized when she became one of the best pilots the USAF has had in history.  Good thing that when Carol Danvers absorbed the energy of the Tesseract, it granted her the ability to fly, which would’ve made her childhood self extremely happy. Her background with the Air Force also gives her much-needed flight mechanics and aerial combat to assist with maneuvering and movement while she’s up in the air.  Read: Captain Marvel vs Superman Powerful Punch & Super Strength The Kree blood transfusion and the powers of the Infinity Stone gave Captain Marvel a superhuman skill set. She can take down hordes of her opponents with relative ease and send them flying through the air with simple blows and kicks, thanks to her superhuman strength. In one instance, she destroyed an entire planet with the force of a singular punch.  She can also pack mean blows using her “photon fists,” which are her regular fists combined with photon energy she accesses from the stars.  When Dr. Hank Pym measured her super strength in the comics, the Avengers found out that she could punch with a force of 92 tons at just her base strength alone. Most other Marvel characters don’t have that much force to their punches.  Super Speed Captain Marvel possesses incredible speed, which she uses to evade her opponents' attacks (which we personally think she doesn’t need). Her super speed also allows her to travel at the speed of light. This comes in handy as she usually needs to be on call to save many other universes other than Earth. Her speed is faster than sound; other than that, she can travel across space without the need for any breathing equipment.  Intelligence Carol Danvers is fairly intelligent and can be strategic when it comes to the battlefield. After all, she did work for the USAF, CIA, and even NASA at some point. However, many fans believe her biggest weakness is her vulnerable mind, as she always seems to be subject to some form of mind control or memory manipulation.  There have been plenty of instances in the Marvel universe wherein she succumbed to brainwashing and psychological attacks from other characters. The plot of the Captain Marvel movie is actually centered around this exact thing.  Shop The Captain Marvel Collection Now Fighting Skills Just like Black Widow, Carol Danvers is skilled in combat, so her natural abilities are great to begin with. When she began working for the Kree empire, though, she was trained in the centuries-old Kree art of battle by none other than Yon-Rogg, the Kree Empire commander and leader of Starforce. He taught her how to fight efficiently and effectively, and she even became so adept at her fighting style that she didn’t need to rely on photon blasts to annihilate enemies most of the time.  Capacity To Produce Photon Energy Blasts Captain Marvel can produce powerful photon energy blasts from her hands, which can melt anything at will. The Binary, which manifests itself as a glowing aura of cosmic energy all around her, is her most powerful form. When she takes on the Binary form, she can tap into the energy of a white hole, which greatly increases her physical strength, durability, and even her energy blasts, thereby making her practically invincible.  Read: Captain Marvel vs Ms Marvel Energy Absorption Perhaps the most impressive power Captain Marvel has is her ability to absorb energy. Unlike Black Panther, she doesn’t only absorb kinetic energy -- she absorbs all kinds of energy. She also doesn’t need to be wearing a suit to absorb kinetic energy (which Black Panther needs).  Most energy attacks don’t do her any damage. She will either absorb them to increase her own strength and power or process them to channel forth an even stronger attack directed towards her target, depending on how much energy she absorbs.   She’s not immune to magic energy, though, so magic powers from other Marvel characters like Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch would affect her greatly.  Read: Captain Marvel vs Scarlet Witch Stamina & Ability To Take A Hit Captain Marvel has jaw-dropping stamina. She can spend a whole day fighting an entire army and still perform at peak performance (without needing to catch her breath!). At one point in the comics, Captain Marvel took a hit from the Hulk Buster -- an armor Iron Man specifically created to defeat the green rage monster Hulk -- without suffering any consequences. This leads us to believe that she may be physically stronger than Hulk himself.  Very minimal damage can be done to her in the first place. Even if you manage to injure her, one of her abilities is to manipulate the energy in her body to concentrate specifically on her pain point and make it recover faster.  Heat Energy Manipulation Remember when we said that Captain Marvel could absorb energy? Well, it turns out that the energy she absorbs can be channeled into yet another form, which is heat. This power comes in handy when she needs to alter the temperature of a location to her liking and comfortability or when she needs to melt whatever is in her way.  We think this ability may have been useful when they had to thaw out Captain America in the first place.  Poisons & Diseases Immunity Due to the Kree blood transfusion, Captain Marvel’s immunity is greatly strengthened, and she no longer needs to be concerned about deadly diseases like cancer taking her life. The same is true for toxins and poison; her body will naturally process poison like it was no big deal. So if you’re thinking of poisoning Captain Marvel, you better think twice.  Precognitive “Seventh Sense” Captain Marvel has what she calls a precognitive “seventh sense,” which helps her sense danger and crisis even before it actually manifests. This cosmic awareness is similar to the “spidey sense” of Spider-Man. This ability allows her to sense threats or danger anywhere in the universe so she can keep her guard up.  Read: Captain Marvel vs Thor FAQs  How did Captain Marvel get her powers? The origin of Captain Marvel’s powers differs depending on whether you watched the films or read the comics. In the Marvel comics, she was exposed to radiation from a Kree weapon explosion called the Psyche-Magnetron, which made her half-Kree and granted her powers and abilities similar to Mar-Vell, a Kree soldier.  In the Marvel movies, she is exposed to the energy of the Tesseract, one of the Infinity Stones, and abducted by the Kree. She’s then subjected to a Kree blood transfusion instead, which basically turns her into a Kree-Human, just like comic book canon.  Is Captain Marvel the strongest Marvel Superhero? It depends. Captain Marvel is incredibly strong, and she is, no doubt, the most powerful hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even Marvel Studios producers have said that she’s the strongest Avenger. [1] However, it’s a different story in the comics. Other Avengers like Thor, the God of Thunder, and even Gladiator, leader of the Imperial Guard, have the upper hand over her power set.  So, How Strong is Captain Marvel?  If Nick Fury thinks that Captain Marvel is the planet’s last hope for helping our favorite Avengers superheroes beat Thanos at the post-credits scene of Infinity War, that alone should be enough testament to the magnitude of Captain Marvel’s powers. As the most powerful character, many fans agree she is not one to be messed with.  If you’re interested in Captain Marvel merch, check out our listings here.  Shop The Captain Marvel Collection Now Reference:  https://www.firstpost.com/entertainment/captain-marvel-kevin-feige-says-brie-larsons-superhero-is-mcus-strongest-possibly-more-powerful-than-thanos-6169451.html

Mandalorian vs Boba Fett (2024 UPDATED) Don't Be Fooled

Mandalorian vs Boba Fett (2024 UPDATED) Don't Be Fooled

Mandalorian and Boba Fett are two of the most prominent characters from the Star Wars franchise, The Mandalorian. While the Empire Strikes and new Disney+ characters both wear Mandalorian armor, they are different from one another.  Our team spent 24 hours of intensive research to compare Mandalorian vs Boba Fett.  Boba Fett or The Mandalorian - Who Wins? The Mandalorian Din Djarin won the fans' hearts in the American television series, The Mandalorian, streamed in Disney+. However, the titular hero in the series shares passing similarities with Boba, another classic fan-favorite character from the original trilogy of Star Wars.  While they both have fair similarities like their armor and their job as bounty hunters, their difference makes many viewers wonder if Mando will win over Boba. Let's look at their clear similarities and differences to see who wins since the two are not the same person.  Read: Jango Fett & Boba Fett Compared How Do They Differ?  Different Time Periods Boba Fett was raised during the prequel movies of Star Wars while Mando operates in the galaxy five years after his supposed death. He was raised by his father, Jango Fett, and became a bounty hunter operating as the Galactic Empire ruled the galaxy before the Return of the Jedi.  On the other hand, Mando operates after the Kingdom falls where there is no stable government in the society anymore. In an interview with Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian is set long before The Force Awakens, where Mando operates in a much more unforgiving landscape. Read: When Does The Mandalorian Take Place in Star Wars Weapons & Tools Mandalorian has more advanced weaponry than Boba Fett. Boba Fett's armor and outdated jetpack rocket need maintenance. It seems like Cobb Vanth used it too much without trying to clean or maintain it well.  On the other hand, Din Djarin has well-maintained Mandalorian armor, and his tools, like the whistling birds, are incomparable. In addition, his Amban sniper rifle, IB-94 blaster pistol, and distinctive beskar helmet are powerful and advanced weapons [1].  One Isn't A True Mandalorian While the two characters wear the armor from Mandalore, Boba Fett is not a real Mandalorian. Boba Fett is a copy of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett and was raised on the planet of Kamino. Being a clone, he does not have a homeland but grows up learning Mandalorian culture.  On the contrary, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) is a human male Mandalorian orphaned by the Children of the Watch during the Republic Era.  One is A Warrior While One Is A Mercenary Boba Fett is a mercenary, while Din Djarin is a warrior. Boba Fett is a mercenary who gets paid for the rest of his missions. As a mercenary, he does whatever for whoever is paying him money unless bringing back the life of a dead bounty.  On the other hand, The Mandalorian was a former mercenary and bounty hunter in the first place. Recalling the past episode, he was set to bring home Baby Yoda in return for Camtono of Beskar. However, he became a warrior after changing his decision and became the protector of the Child.   Shop The Mandalorian Collection Now One Isn't Bound To The Mandalorian Code Boba Fett is not bound to the Mandalorian code. Since he was born as a clone of hunter Jango, he was left with his own devices after his father died in the Attack of the Clones (Clone Wars Series) at the hands of Mace Windu. Instead of following the code of morals, He forged his path.  On the other hand, Din Djarin was indoctrinated with the belief system and philosophies of the Mandalorian tribe. Being saved and raised by the Mandalorian, Djarin is bound to the Mandalorian Code.  Boba Fett Is A Villain Boba Fett is considered a villain in the Return of the Jedi. He works for Jabba Hutt, one of the bad guys in the original trilogy. Some of his adventures involve capturing and torturing characters like Han Solo and Darth Vader in Star Wars movies, and he has no redeeming qualities.  On the other hand, it is unclear if Mando is a hero or an enemy. However, as you can recall in the early Mandalorian episodes, he wants to do the right thing, but it can be a very windy road.  Boba Fett Has A Chance For A Cameo Many theories from the fans, which are posted all over the internet, say that Boba Fett is still alive and survived the Sarlacc Pit. Most are convinced that he is, so a chance for a cameo will be a thing. Since He is a bounty hunter, the tiny chance of being in a cameo is still possible.  Read: Mandalorian Party Cake Ideas What Are Their Similarities? Both Wear Mandalorian Armor The first similarity between the two characters is they wear the same armor. The armor is forged from beskar, which has incredible resilience and is often passed down from generation to generation. Both of them use the armor of Mandalorians, and it only has a few subtle differences. Check out our favorite Boba Fett gift ideas here.  Neither Were Born On Mandalore Another key similarity between the two is that they are not born in Mandalore. Fett was a copy of the bounty hunter, Jango Fett, before the Attack of the Clones by George Lucas, so he was technically not born in Mandalore.  On the other hand, the main character Mando is also not born in Mandalore. Our guy was adopted by a Mandalorian who saved him from the droid that killed his parents. But why does Boba Fett sleep in water? Both Are Bounty Hunters The Mandalorian and Boba Fett's third similarity is their line of work. He was hired to hunt down Han Solo for Jabba while Djarin was on the hunt for Mythrol. The two bounty hunters established a great reputation in their chosen line of work. In addition, both of them prefer working alone unless they are left without any other options.  Read: Our Favorite Star Wars Comics FAQs  Did Boba Fett become a Mandalorian? Yes, Boba Fett became a Mandalorian. In his promise with Fenn Shysa, he became a Mandalore and led the Mandalorians through the Yuuzhan Vong War. He also aided the New Republic in their fight against the aliens.  Who is stronger, Boba Fett or The Mandalorian? The Mandalorian is stronger than Boba Fett. While he defeated stormtroopers and Han Solo, Mando had more advanced weaponry and could defeat strong villains in the story. In addition, he has different ways of killing the stormtroopers, and since Fett is a template of a stormtrooper, Mando is stronger than him.  Wrapping Up… In Mandalorian vs Boba Fett, Din Djarin’s character is the winner. While both of them share similarities and differences, Mando's capabilities get the upper hand.  The similarities with the line of work, armors used, and origin contributes to the close fight between the two. However, Mando's dominating difference can greatly help him win the fight between Boba Fett.  If you're looking for The Mandalorian collectibles, check out our listing.  Shop The Mandalorian Collection Now Reference: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Din_Djarin
When Does The Mandalorian Take Place (2024 UPDATED)

When Does The Mandalorian Take Place (2024 UPDATED)

The Mandalorian is a widely acclaimed television series offered by Disney+. And ever since the first live-action series from the franchise, Star Wars fans can help but wonder when the series takes place in the Star Wars timeline.  Our team prepared a detailed breakdown of the major question: When does The Mandalorian take place in the Star Wars story.  The Mandalorian: An Overview   The Mandalorian is a Star Wars universe franchise created by Jon Favreau for the streaming service Disney+. The first live-action series stars Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), a lone bounty hunter hired by Imperial forces to retrieve “The Child.”  In Season 1 events, the bounty hunter tracks the target in return for a treasure trove of beskar if he delivers the package alive [1]. The Mandalorian manages to keep the Child alive but eventually chooses to take care of it.  In the Season 2 story, the Mandalorian and the rescued Child continued their journey in the dangerous galaxy. The Mandalorians’ new mission is to return the Child to its home planet, but things will get more complicated now that Gideon has established his plans. The Timeline  Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope   The series is connected with the fourth episode of the Star Wars sequel trilogy because of the Darksaber. The Darksaber was created between 1,000 to 7,000 years before this episode, and Tarre Viszla built it, a Mandalorian turned into a Knight.  After Viszla’s death, the Darksaber was kept in a Jedi temple and was stolen by Mandalorians during the war. Years have passed, and the Darksaber ends up in a Death Watch leader, and in the years before A New Hope, Sabine Wren finds it and gives it to Bo-Katan Kryze.  Mando then revealed that Moff Gideon was present on Mandalore, so probably, after something bad happened to Bo-Katan, he managed to pick up the Darksaber. Moff Gideon bust the Darksaber in the Mandalorian 2 season finale. Read: The Best Star Wars Comics  Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi The Mandalorian takes place after the events of the Star Wars: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi. The film ends with Star Wars rebels blowing the Empire’s Death Star and Luke Skywalker burning the body of the first Death Star, Darth Vader, on a funeral pyre on Endor.  Five years after the events, The Mandalorian fit in the timeline after the Empire fell. The remnants of Imperial rule surviving the fall of the Empire can be seen in the corners of the galaxy.  In addition, the Skywalker saga characters also survived and since the movies happened on the Outer Rim. There will be chances that characters like Carl Weathers will be referenced as part of the show’s recent memory.  Shop The Mandalorian Collection Now Read: Top Mandalorian Episodes Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi The cameo of Luke at the end of the second season of Mandalorian confirms that The Mandalorian timeline was set 19 years before Ben Solo destroyed Luke’s Academy. In a flashback sequence from Episode VII, Ben Solo felt the pull of his dark side and destroyed the academy and the young Jedis in training.  Since Luke Skywalker will take charge of training the Child at the end of Mandalorian 2, it can be assumed that Grogu is a casualty of Ben Solo (Kylo Ren). Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) also promised Grogu that he would see him as they parted ways at the end of Season 2. There is a great possibility that the Child will leave Luke’s academy before Ben Solo destroys it.  Read: List of Mandalorian Gifts Star Wars Resistance Galaxy’s Edge In 19 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), a Mandalorian resistance and terrorist organization, Death Watch, became part of the Shadow Collective. The rebels were formed during the Clone Wars and the beginning of the Civil War.  By narrowing down the Mandalorian timeline on the flashback of Din’s rescue in the Clone Wars, you will see Death Watch fighting B2. Furthermore, the resistance will battle against Separist droids and save a random village. The Star Wars timeline of the rescue to the young Din Djarin is connected to the Resistance Galaxy’s Edge.  Read: Our Favorite Star Wars Books  Jon Favreau & His Confirmations Jon Favreau is the creator of the Star Wars Disney+, The Mandalorian, and he confirmed that the series is set five years after the fall of the Empire strikes, in Return of the Jedi, and 25 years before the rise of the First Order. Along with Dave Filoni, he confirms that the Empire only exists after the Revenge of The Sith, which is 28 years before the movies.  In terms of the Star Wars timeline, The Return of the Jedi is at 4 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin), and The Force Awakens is at 34 ABY. The Mandalorian takes place within the Skywalker Saga, at 9 ABY, where the democratic government, the New Republic formed by the Rebel Alliance, holds the galaxy.  Read: How Do You Make a Mandalorian Armor? FAQs  Did Mandalorian happen before Yoda? No, Mandalorian did not happen before Yoda. Mandalorian took place years after the original Star Wars trilogy in which Yoda died. Is the Mandalorian Yoda the same Yoda? No, the Mandalorian Yoda is not the same. Jon Favreau confirmed in the USA today that the Mandalorian Grogu is not the same Yoda. In the original trilogy, he not only passes away but disappears.   Is Baby Yoda a clone in The Mandalorian? Yes, Baby Yoda is a clone in The Mandalorian. The Child is around 50 years old, which means he was born in the new era before the events of the Phantom Menace. There are claims that cloning Force-sensitive like Grogu and Boba Fett can be challenging, but the practice is one of the franchise's foundations. Read: Boba Fett vs Mandalorian So, When Does The Mandalorian Take Place? The Mandalorian takes place within the overall Skywalker Saga, in 9 ABY, five years after the Return of the Jedi, and nine years after A New Hope. The series elaborates the Star Wars timeline after the original trilogy, set nearly 30 years before the Force Awakens.  Generally, the series is set after the fall of the Empire but before the New Republic. The two seasons of Mandalorian do not provide an exact time elapsed. However, since Din Djarin (Pedro pascal) wears a brand new Beskar Armor, it is assumed that he and Grogu had multiple adventures in a few months between seasons.  If you're looking for The Mandalorian merch, we've got them right here.  Shop The Mandalorian Collection Now Reference: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Chapter_1:_The_Mandalorian

How Many Avatar Movies Are There? (2024 UPDATED)

Almost a decade has passed since the first Avatar Movie hit the theaters along with its novelty 3D revival. Now that the blockbuster movie's long-awaited sequel is finally on its way, let us check out how many Avatar Movies are there so you wouldn't miss it.  Avatar Movie: An Overview Avatar is a science fiction series with five planned series written by James Cameron. Its first installment was released last 2019, which became the highest-grossing film of all time [1].  As humans exhaust the Earth's natural resources, the Resources Development Administration (RDA) needs to find a solution to survive the global energy crisis. With this, they've discovered an energy-rich element that only exists on the moon, Pandora. With this, the Scientists managed to create Avatars, half-human, half Na'vi clones. They can freely move and operate in Pandora's poisonous atmosphere.  How Many Films Are There? 1. Avatar (2009)   Synopsis: In the lush rainforest of Pandora, Jake Sully, a war veteran and former marine is a paraplegic, and his adventure as a part of the mission to colonize Pandora began after he slept for six years on a spaceship. After his twin brother Tom died, he had the privilege to replace him, considering they share the same genetics.  Jake had paraplegia for many years, and after being linked in his Avatar, he has been able to walk and run, which made him ecstatic. Together with other Avatars, Jake prepared to integrate with the Na'vi life and was torn between continuing his mission as he developed a strong bond with the tribe.  Box Office Performance: Avatar was released on more than 14,000 screens internationally, which sets the firm as the highest-grossing movie of all time since 2009. After the Avengers: End Game, it became the second-highest-grossing movie in 2019; however, it managed to reclaim the Box Office title after China re-released the movie in 2021.  The first series managed to break multiple box office records around the world. Aside from the $2.85 billion gross of the movie, the film was also considered the fastest movie to gross $1 - $2.5 billion. It also set the highest gross in 3D and IMAX. Critical & Public Response: On a review aggregator website, the film gathered an 81% approval rating with an average rate of 7.4/10. Aside from its storytelling and plot, the technical level of the film made the film more impressive. The film has been universally acclaimed for its pure cinematic magic.  The highest-grossing film made powerful visual accomplishments, but some find the dialogues and the characters flat and obvious. Overall, the 3-D experience for two and ½ hours made the movie more convincing and vivid, as seen in the history of moving pictures.  Awards: Avatar received massive awards from different award-giving bodies, which is never surprising. In the 2009 Academy Awards, Avatar received the Best Achievement in Cinematography, Best Achievement in Visual Effects, Best Achievement in Art Direction from Oscars.  In BAFTA Awards 2010, the team received the Best Production Design and Best Special Visual Effects. In addition, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA gave the film the Best DVD Special Edition, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.  It also received the Best Director, Best Writing, Best Music, Best Production Design, Best Science Fiction Film, and Best Special Effects of USFFHF, USA Saturn Awards 2010.  Shop The Avatar Child Costume Now 2. The third installment of the Avatar Franchise will not just be about Na'vi as there will be another species of aliens to be introduced in this film.  As no plot has yet been revealed, speculations revolve around its title, The Seed Bearer, which could be from the Na'vi species or the upcoming species to be introduced to.  Release Date: Once the Avatar: The Way of the Water is finally released, Avatar 3 is set to be slated after two years, not later than December 22, 2024. The two sequels were filmed simultaneously, and as the previous sequel wrapped up, the third one is 95%.  Due to coronavirus, the shooting of different films was halted, but New Zealand's response to the pandemic made the production slowly coping up on the delays. Avatar 4 (2026) Synopsis: The fourth installment of the Avatar franchise is planned to be called Avatar: The Tulkun Rider. In this episode, it is rumored that in Avatar Universe, there will be an ascending high priest or shaman. Based on Tibetan Buddhism, Tulku is referred to as someone reborn, where they will be responsible for passing down the specific teachings. Avatar: The Tulkun Rider can be someone or an ancient who will pass down the knowledge to the Na'vi, which will be a great transition for the upcoming Avatar 5.  Release Date: Avatar 4: The Tulkun Rider is set to be released in December 2026. However, the release of the sequel will depend on the success of Avatar: Way of Water and Avatar: The Seed Bearer. Based on Disney CEO, Bob Iger, Avatar 4 is in pre-production, but Disney has not yet given them the green light.  The delays on the sequel are mainly because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and while some are sad about it, the three-year break after Avatar 3 would be very beneficial.
